Sea Dwellers Dance
The fisher folk “Sea Dwellers” dance styles by SAMCE student-teachers were depicted on the stage for 20 minutes. The performance covered the various styles of fisher men and women, in the different states of India, starting from TamilNadu going round Andra pradhesh, Karnataka, Goa, Assam. The performance enthralled the audience and received great applause. It was interesting, message giving and meaningful.
Flash back Dance
The performance by SAMCE male trainee-teachers had for its theme a group of spirits from the grave yard gathering and going in for a flash back of their life on earth when alive. The performance was rented in a dancing style for an appropriately edited lyric-sequence. It was captioned “Kallaraiyil irundu Karuvarai varai”. The performance included a power point presentation support that substantiated the thematic sequence. The experiences of human being between birth and death are full of joy and sorrow during the different stages of growth and development. It takes one full life time for MAN to realize the truth, that real joy and true peace are found only in the mother’s wound and mother’s lap – nothing brings peace, nothing is joy, when compared with a mother’s all-embracing affection and sacrifices. The performance was dedicated to the first lady of the campus Mrs. Jancy Rani Chandran, Vice-chairman of Sri Aurobinda Mira Educational Institutions.
